Food Storage Tuesday

Every Tuesday, we post specific items you should gather in order to supplement your 72-hour kit, your three-month supply, and your longer term storage.  If you are new to our blog, don't worry!  You won't be left behind.  Just start up where we are and follow along.  You will eventually have everything completed.  Once the 72-hour kit is complete, we'll be putting together emergency car kits again (week by week).  Once those are done, we'll gather the 72-hour kits again.  So don't worry, just jump on in and join us where we are today!

This week for your 72-hour kits, add $100 cash per family.  You should have a good mix of small bills and change.  Distribute the money between the various kits so that each person has a bit.  Also, put the money in ziploc baggies or something similar to keep it safe from getting wet.

How's your three month supply coming along?? Mine is almost GONE because we're moving soon, and we're planning to replenish it when we settle into our new home in Florida.

This month for our longer-term storage, we're gathering RICE.  To check out some of our food storage rice recipes, click on the link.

Have a great week!  And, be sure to come back tomorrow because we're having a GREAT giveaway, plus an awesome discount for you!

How I would love to have a shelf for organizational purposes to keep handy and quickly access the food storage. It is a gift to us all to have the knowledge of storing food for our family and friends and have less fear of what is coming.Thank you for all you do to help us daily. Much appreciated.
